We want to make sure that each and every child in our programme celebrates Christmas and the birth of Christ each year.
With that being said, IOP hosts an annual Christmas party of gargantuan proportions – the highlight of many of these children’s lives.
The event takes place over two days, and sees three separate parties at which our children are asked to present their school results for the year (education is the key to a better future) and in return are treated to a Christian nativity, a church service, healthy meal pack, party bag, gift-giving and the supply of their school stationary for the following year. You can see why this is an event which takes a huge amount of time, volunteers from around the country, goods sponsorship and money to pull off.
The IOP annual Christmas party 2015 will take place on 12th December – and we would love to see you there. Please contact our offices to put your name on our list of highly appreciated volunteers. There are no special skills necessary – just your time, and your smile. Volunteer tasks range from meeting and greeting families and showing them to the venue, to face-painting (a popular job with our teen volunteers) and handing out of food parcels, goodie bags and gifts.
